I finished Divergent so late at night but absolutely couldn’t wait to start Insurgent. When I picked up Insurgent I was hopping for the same material, but found it infuriating how Tris wont see anyone else’s opinion but her own, to me it seems that she doesn’t appreciate the one’s that truly love her, and she keeps turning to the past wich dont let her move on. other than that, the book was interesting, and packed with more action than the first. Recension: Insurgent. Insurgent Titel: Insurgent Författare: Veronica Roth Serie: Divergent #2. Sidantal: 379. Utgivningsår: 2013 (e-bok)

If the rebels have any hope for control, they must first figure out how to control every Divergent citizen --- or just destroy them. Insurgent is a remarkable adventure which I enjoyed almost more than Divergent. Roth's terse and clipped writing style keeps the story ripping along at breakneck speed, a prose style as utilitarian and unadorned as the world it describes.

Insurgent explores the themes of romance, friendship, betrayal, courage, bravery, identity, and much more. It’s quite a heavy book, unlike Divergent. I enjoy reading books that deal with heavy and intense themes. I love character-centric books, and I feel Insurgent is much more character-based than Divergent.
